PELTON TURBINE
Pelton Turbine
Runners for Pelton turbines were the product ushering SEKO Group among suppliers of hydro power components. Experience gained by manufacture of these runners for major global turbine manufacturers inspired our decision to commence in-house turbine manufacture.
Pelton turbine is an equal-pressure turbine with partial tangential spray of the runner. Water is brought to the runner via a system of regulated nozzles distributed in predefined positions around its perimeter.
The structure of our Pelton turbines is based on utilisation of modern hydraulic profiles, allowing for effective operation of Pelton turbines on water descents ranging from 100 to 600m.
The runners are made of one-piece forges by most up-to-date machining centres.
Technological Parameters and Application Areas of CHP-Pelton Turbines:
1 – 6 nozzle designs
For water descents of 100 to 600 m
Direct connection of the runner with the generator shaft or turbine shaft bearing seats
Hydraulic regulation of coaxial or needle nozzles
High efficiency thanks to precise nozzle geometry 89-93%
Wear resistance thanks to maximum utilisation of heavy-duty stainless or armouring steels (runner, nozzle body, nozzle tip and needle)
For long pipelines and high pressures – deflector variant
For drinking water systems– electric regulation variant
