FRANCIS TURBINE
Also in the case of Francis turbines we obtained first experience by making runners for major global turbine manufacturers.
Francis turbine is a classical overpressure turbine made in horizontal and vertical variants. This turbine type is most widespread worldwide. Its most up-to-date versions achieve maximum efficiency exceeding 94%. This turbine too may be supplied with bearings or with the runner installed on the generator shaft. This turbine structure permits its use in power plants with transfer pump systems.
The runner and the guide blades are made of heavy-duty stainless steel. Runners of Francis turbines are made exclusively of single-piece forges. This provides for maximum hardness durability of our Francis runners.
Technical Parameters and Application Areas of CHP-Francis Turbines:
For water descent heights from 10 to 300 m
Guide blades and runners are made of hard stainless steel
Electromechanical or hydraulic regulation drive
Special bypass structure for closed pipeline systems
High efficiency at constant flow rates (40–100% of rated flow rate)
Spiral, segment welded case
Horizontal and vertical shaft placement variants
